Child Centred Play Therapy (CCPT) is a structured, theoretically based approach that builds on children's natural form of communication. CCPT helps children develop insight and resolution about inner conflicts and/or dysfunctional thinking. CCPT helps children establish adaptive behaviours where there are emotional or skills deficits.
CCPT can help with a range of concerns, including but not limited to - anxiety, depression, aggression, grief, trauma, family separation, confidence, autonomy, adjusting to general changes in life, learning emotional regulation skills, and developing pro-social skills.
Filial Therapy is Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT).
Align Play Therapy delivers a 10 week/10 session training program that helps parents and carers become therapeutic agents in their children's lives. CPRT supports you to develop skills to communicate and understand your child. You will learn how to encourage your child's self-direction, self-responsibility and self-reliance. Filial Therapy is a great option for anyone wanting to deepen and strengthen their relationships with their child/children. It is available for everyone, from private clients, foster carers, through to NDIS participants.
This training model can also be adjusted for early childhood educators, teachers, parents with teenagers, and anyone who works with children who would like to feel more confident and competent in providing emotional support and forming strong connections.
